According to the CEO of BlackRock, tokenization could boost capital market efficiency.

Tokenizing asset classes like stocks and bonds, as per Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock, the largest asset management firm in the world, might increase capital market efficiency and increase investor access.

BlackRock is now researching the digital asset sector and will keep doing so, notably in areas connected to permissioned blockchains and the tokenization of stocks and bonds, the CEO highlighted in his most recent annual letter to investors.

In the letter, Fink stated that there are other digital assets with greater operational potential than Bitcoin. Behind the hype and fixation with cryptocurrencies, the CEO of the startup business said that exciting developments are taking place.

The CEO of BlackRock also discussed improvements in payment systems and financial inclusion in emerging economies including Brazil, India, and some regions of Africa. He maintained, though, that developed markets like the US are falling behind in terms of payment innovation.
