Boyaa Interactive, a Chinese board and card game firm that is listed on the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, announced that it plans to buy cryptocurrency assets, namely Bitcoin and Ethereum, for a total of approximately $100 million.
The board of directors of the company advised that acquiring digital currency is essential to improving the company’s visibility in the Web3 ecosystem.
Boyaa Interactive is considering buying the assets within a year, per a document released public by the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited. The time frame starts when the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) passes the proposal.
Additionally, Boyaa has said that the shareholders will get a notice of the EGM and any other information required by the listing regulations in the following days, on or before November 30.
